HELD FOR CITY EMPLOYEES
The City Human Resource Management Office (CHRMO) conducted an orientation on the Magna Carta of Women (Republic Act 9710) on March 26, 2026 at The Gardens, Malaybalay City, with 42 employees from the City Government of Malaybalay in attendance. The activity aimed to enhance employees’ understanding of women’s rights and to promote gender equality in governance and public service. Atty. Alfredo G. Cape Jr. of the City Legal Office served as the resource speaker.

He delivered a comprehensive discussion on the law’s key provisions, scope, and relevance in the public sector, emphasizing its role in protecting women’s rights, eliminating discrimination, and ensuring equal access to opportunities, resources, and services. He also underscored the responsibility of government agencies to implement gender-responsive programs and highlighted the importance of integrating Gender and Development (GAD) principles in all aspects of governance.
